Auburn, Ala. - On Nov. 14, 2023, Auburn Police arrested Jamon Drekez Nelson, age 29, from Montgomery, AL on felony warrants charging him with unlawful breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and theft of property second degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving an auto burglary report on July 17, 2023. A victim reported that on July 7, a suspect made unlawful entry into a vehicle and stole property.

Jamon Drekez Nelson was developed as a suspect, and officers obtained arrest warrants for the offenses in Sept. of 2023. On Nov. 14, Auburn Police arrested Nelson in obedience to the arrest warrants while he was incarcerated at the Lee County Jail. Nelson was held on a $6,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
